Short description of the session: 

Objectives:                                                                                                                                                                                     

1. Students will learn how to cooperate with others in the same group. 

2. Students will learn how to use the internet to gain the information they need. 

3. Students will be able to use Powtoon to make a brief video presentation of what they have learned about the history of the fashion industry in their own country in English.

Brief introduction of how to use Powtoon to make a video presentation. Then students could follow the typical example to add extensive knowledge about what they have learned for some typical time eras. 

Historical research in China and Spain for the typical time era. And then students share their ideas through the video presentation and meeting in order to help the students in partner school being familiar with the history of other countries.

Task 1: Brief introduction of the usage of Powtoon.

Purpose: Help students to learn about Powtoon

Allotted time: 10 mins

Grouping: whole group

Verification: TASK 3

 

Task 2: Ask students to divide into groups and explore the beauty standard for a specific time era in their country.

Purpose: Train students’ ability to use the internet to find the necessary information on the internet. 

Allotted time: 20 mins

Task 3: Apply what students have found in task 2 to Powtoon to make the video presentation. (One typical Example:

Purpose: Learn about others’ advantages and learn to use Padlet.

Allotted time: 5 mins

Verification: publish the suggestion for others and what they could learn about from others on Padlet according to the rubrics.
